Yeah with the draft as strong as it is it would be silly to pick up a pricy (relative to position) RB in FA.
I still think the running game struggles are largely down to the lineman as opposed to the backs themselves, though. Austin Corbett seems like a plug and play guy at LG but I'm hoping the real improvements come from coaching.

I like CJ a lot. Hard physical runner, exactly the type of guy that'd fit in here. I think you're right on the pricey side though. I think the main reason we won't is because with how much depth there is at RB in the draft, we have to take one at some point. We still haven't given up on Prosise, resigned Mckissic (Yay!), Mike Davis (Yay!), and Carson is coming back (Yay!). I think it'd be way too full...
I wonder what type of money he'd cost and the cap crunch we'd be in if we moved on both CJ and Maxie. You'd be far more aware of that than me though!
